Synopsis
It is the story of a young man who wants to forget his past. He moves from Ifsahan to Tehran, seeking a safe heaven. However his nightmares blend with memories of his late father, who has some mysterious bonds with Zayande-rood. After his death, his memories still disturbs the narrator. Although the narrator’s troubled mind causes him to run away from his hometown and also to break up his marriage, he is still haunted by his late father…
Directors Profile
Born in 1956 in Tehran, Behrouz Afkhami is a graduate of Film Editing from IRIB faculty. His first professional experience was as cinematographer in Seifollah Daad’s UNDER THE RAIN. With his debut film, THE BRIDE he gained public attention and received critical acclaim. In 1999 once again, with HEMLOCK, he repeated his national success. Internationally he is best known for THE RIVER’S END, screened in Quinzaine 2004. A former member of parliament, was also teaching script writing, Direction and editing in universities.
